One thing I noticed is that the "vibe" on the different social networks is quite different. People who are just joining Bluesky feel pretty elated, having just gotten off Twitter. And Twitter, well, you're all here, so you know... :)

There is also a lot of excitement about building stuff on top of it with their own protocol atproto.com. There's a discord server and people are saying how nice the community is. Someone already built audio spaces on top of bluesky skyspaces.net

And mastodon, yeah. Just my personal impression, but there is an aspect of mastodon where some people are very sensitive about possible abuse that discussions sometimes end up being very black and white and focus on worst case outcomes.

One example is @janl experiment with private (!) timeline search searchtodon.social/Adventures-in-… I think he really tried to be transparent and do the right thing, but someone held that against him, saying that he already knew that he was doing something wrong. 🙄
